Early morning jambo

'Jambo' is a Marshallese word and a Japanese word. It comes from Japanese.
It means "walking"=sanpo in Japanese.

Today I tried to walk from 8 o'clock in the morning for 30 minutes.
I felt comfortable and I am still on the way to my house while I am writing this article.
I'm going to make pancakes and have breakfast...

I am not a “ Japanese ” girl anymore

There is some hair salons here, but there is no Japanese style hair salon what we call "Biyooin" in Japanese. Of coursI miss it very much, now my hair is very messy and I am not a “ Japanese ” girl anymore.

I hardly used elastic hair bands when I was in Japan. I used a curling iron or  blow drying on my hair.

In Marshall, it’s always windy so hair becomes naturally messy. So I have to tie up my hair but I don’t like it.
Since I arrived here, my lifestyle has changed a lot because the Marshallese life style forces me to do so.

As I have come to know about life in the southern islands, it has been more difficult from what I originally thought it would be. There is a shortage of  water, no electric power, and the sun is bright. But they live on this islands...

Picnic as a prize!

We went to Laura beach as a prize. Many groups in MIHS won and got prizes! In the bus, so many students there and 3 people sat on a seat for 2 people! I was very happy as I saw many students' smile...

Japanese speech contest finished! I was very relieved. This year's contestants were very enthusiastic and they practiced very very hard...Half of them got prizes. But the most important thing is, they practiced a lot and they did their best.

How education deep is...

People say that the education will reveal its results in 10 or 20 years.
That’s why a girl who was scolded so many times will come to realize what her teachers said at the time…Why did my teacher say this…?
Some will realize long afterward.

How deep education is…
